Get a Superhuman Start to Your Day: Chaga Latte Recipe

Thanks to their superpower properties, medicinal mushrooms had a ton of buzz in 2017 and will continue to lead the way in 2018. I am personally a big fan of  mushrooms. In powder and tincture form they are a daily staple in my superhuman nutrition routine.  Today I want to highlight one of my favourite mushrooms—chaga—and show you how to make it into a delicious morning beverage. 

Elevate Your Energy with The Chaga Mushroom 

Chaga is prized in Traditional Chinese Medicine for its ability to preserve youth, increase life-force energy and create a general feeling of wellbeing.  Chaga also contains Beta-D-Glucans which boosts and regulates the immune system.

Chaga Morning Latte Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp chaga Powder
  • 1/2 tbsp MCT Oil
  • 1/2 cup cashew mylk (Unsweetned Vanilla is my favourite)
  • 1/2 cup of water 
  • 1 tbsp manuka honey
  • Pinch cinammon

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized pot, heat all the ingredients EXCEPT honey and MCT oil over a medium flame. Do not boil
  2. Add the heated ingredients to a blender with the MCT oil and the manuka honey. Blend for few seconds to make the mixture nice and frothy like a latte. 
  3. Pour into your favourite mug and sprinkle with cinnamon.
